Trek Bicycle Recalls One Million Bicycles

Nearly one (1) million bicycles are being recalled by Trek.  Do you own one of the recalled bikes?

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall covers 900,000 bicycles sold in the U.S. and 98,000 in Canada.

"This recall involves all models of Trek bicycles from model years 2000 through 2015 equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick release lever on the front wheel hub that opens far enough to contact the disc brake," the CPSC statement said.

Bicycles Sold At Walmart Recalled

The Northwest Indiana personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates, the Aggressive Trial Lawyers, is warning of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission of about 91,000 bicycles sold at Wal-Mart.

According to the recall notice, the bicycle chain can break, causing a rider to lose control and fall were imported by Bridgeway International of Naples, Florida.

The recalled bikes were sold only at Walmart from February 2011 through July 2011 for about $100.
