Big Lots Recalls Glider Recliners

The Northwest Indiana personal injury & Affordable Bankruptcy law firm, Schlyer & Associates, is warning of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission of 375,000 Microfiber Glider Recliners with Ottomans and Leather Glider Recliners with Ottomans sold at Big Lots stores.

According to the recall notice, an exposed gap between the moving parts of the chair and the base framework can allow access to toddlers and infants, posing an entrapment hazard. In addition, other exposed moving parts on the chair and the ottoman can pose finger pinching and crushing hazards to older children and adults.

The recalled recliners were sold at Big Lots stores nationwide from January 2005 through December 2009 for about $170.

If you have one of the recalled recliners, you should immediately stop using the chairs and contact Big Lots at (866) 244-5687 for a free repair kit that covers the base framework and the moving parts of the chair and ottoman.

Chevrolet Equinox & GMC Terrain Recalled by GM

The Northwest Indiana personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates, the Aggressive Trial Lawyers, is warning GM has issued a recall of Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the 2012 model year vehicles are recalled since tire pressure monitoring system isn't up to federal standards.

The recall affects 33,964 Equinoxes and Terrains built from July 18 through Sept. 6. Your car's build date can be found on a sticker affixed to the driver-side door jamb.

Certain Harley Davidson Motorcycles Recalled

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a recall of about 308,000 Harley Davidson motorcylces to fix a switch problem that can cause failure of the brake lights and possibly even the rear brakes themselves the Northwest Indiana personal injury law firm of Schlyer & Associates is warning.

According to the recall notice, brake light switches can be exposed to too much heat from the exhaust system. The brake lights can fail, and the problem also can cause fluid leaks and the loss of rear brakes.  The problem affects Touring, CVO Touring and Trike vehicles from the 2009 through 2012 model years the notice states.

The company reports it will notify owners of the recall. Dealers will install a rear brake light switch kit free of charge.
The recall affects about 251,000 motorcycles in the U.S. alone according to the recall notice.
