HP Recalls Fax Machines - Fire and Burn Hazards

Schlyer & Associates, Aggressive Trial Lawyers, the Merrillville, Indiana based personal injury law firm, warns of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission of 928,000 HP (Hewlett-Packard) fax machines, since the fax machines can overheat due to an internal electrical component failure, posing fire and burn hazards.

According to the recall notice, this recall involves HP Fax 1040 and 1050 models.

The recalled HP fax machines were sold at various electronics, computer and camera stores nationwide, and online at www.shopping.hp.com and other websites from November 2004 through December 2011 for between $90 and $120.

If you have one of the recalled HP fax machines, you should immediately stop using the recalled fax machines, disconnect them from the electrical outlet and contact HP at (888) 654-9296 for a rebate on the purchase of an authorized replacement HP fax machine or a partial rebate of certain HP ink jet printers.

Salmonella Found - Cargill recalls 185,000 Pounds Of Ground Turkey

The Northwest Indiana personal injury and Affordable Bankruptcy law firm of Schlyer & Associates is warning of a recall of 185,000 pounds of ground turkey processed by Cargill due to salmonella concerns.

Apparently health officials had linked a strain of salmonella found in contaminated turkey products to 111 people falling ill in 31 states and at least one death in California.

According to news reports, the recalled meat, which included fresh and frozen ground turkey, was produced at Cargill's processing plant in Springdale, Arkansas.

News reports show the latest recalled products are labeled with the brand names Honeysuckle White, HEB and Kroger, Cargill said. The packages include a label with the establishment number P-963 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The company urged customers who bought packages of the recalled turkey to return them to the stores where they were bought for a full refund.
