Trek Bicycle Recalls One Million Bicycles

Nearly one (1) million bicycles are being recalled by Trek.  Do you own one of the recalled bikes?

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall covers 900,000 bicycles sold in the U.S. and 98,000 in Canada.

"This recall involves all models of Trek bicycles from model years 2000 through 2015 equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick release lever on the front wheel hub that opens far enough to contact the disc brake," the CPSC statement said.

Due to Strangulation Hazard Vans Recalls Boy’s Hooded Jackets with Drawstrings Lawyers Warn

Chrysler Recalling almost 470,000 SUVs Lawyers Warn

Huffy 20-Inch Slider Tricycles Recalled By Toys R Us

The attorneys at Schlyer & Associates, the Aggressive Trial Lawyers, warn of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) of over 5,000 Huffy® 20-Inch Slider Tricycle sold only at Toys R Us.

According to the recall notice, the handlebar can unexpectedly loosen while in use, causing the rider to lose control. This poses crash and fall hazards for the rider.  The recalled product is 2012 model year 20-inch, three-wheeled Slider. The tricycle has a white frame with a black seat and black handlebars. “Huffy” is printed on the front of the frame; “Slider” is printed on the frame’s side. The model number, 98682, is located on the frame under the seat.

Range Rider Ride-on Toy Cars Recalled

The recalled cars were imported by Bluestem Brands, Inc., of Eden Prairie, Minn., owner of Fingerhut and Gettington.

According to the recall notice, the battery can overheat, smoke, melt and catch on fire, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.

This recall involves battery-powered Range Rider ride-on toy cars with an off-road vehicle body style and plastic tires. The ride-on cars were sold in pink and tan colors.

The recalled cars were sold through Fingerhut catalogs and online at Fingerhut.com and Gettington.com from September 2010 through May 2012 for between $200 and $230.

If you have one of the recalled cars you should immediately stop using the recalled ride-on toy cars and remove the battery and contact Bluestem at (866) 931-5417 for a full refund of the purchase price plus reimbursement for shipping and handling. Choking Hazard - Green Toys Issues Recall Of Mini Vehicles

The Northwest Indiana personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates, the Aggressive Trial Lawyers is warning of a recall issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission of 50,000 Green Toys™ Mini Vehicles manufactured by Green Toys Inc., of Mill Valley, California.
According to the recall notice, the wheels and hubcaps on the toy cars can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.  All cars are made of plastic and available in yellow, green, red, white and blue.

According to the recall notice, the recalled Mini Vehicles were manufactured from March 2012 through June 2012.
The recalled cars were sold at various mass merchandisers, grocery stores and independent toy and specialty stores nationwide and by online retailers from April 2012 to June 2012. The cars cost about $5 each or $18 for the set.
If you have any of the recalled toys, you should take the product away from children immediately and contact Green Toys Inc.at (888) 973-3421 to receive a full refund.

GM Recalling 50,000 SUV's Due To Windshield Wiper Problem

The Northwest Indiana personal injury law firm, Schlyer & Associates, the Aggressive Trial Lawyers, is warning of a recall issued by General Motors (GM).  According to GM, about 50,000 large crossover SUVs are being recalled to fix a windshield-wiper problem.

According to GM, this particular recall affects 2011 and 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia vehicles.  Specifically, those vehicles which are registered in 28 cold-weather states are being recalled.  According to federal safety regulators, ice and snow can build up and restrict movement of the wipers. That can make the wiper arm come loose and malfunction.

GM says dealers will fasten the wipers tighter than factory specifications to stop the problem from happening.  GM will send letters to owners and start the recall later this month.
